Ava Joas

Staff Accountant

Ava was thrilled to join Duffek Construction in August 2026 as a Staff Accountant after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. During college, she gained valuable experience working as an Accounting Assistant for an HVAC company and through audit internships with large and mid-sized public accounting firms in the Milwaukee area. These experiences helped her develop strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid foundation in accounting. Ava is excited to begin her career in the construction industry and contribute to the continued success of the Duffek team.

In her free time, when she is not hard at work studying for the CPA exams, Ava can often be found boating on the lake, exploring fall festivals and local markets, trying new food spots, and spending quality time with friends and family.
